Property OfficerParramatta LocationNSW Government Agency$43.23 per hour + SuperContract Role - Until Dec 21 2024 - Possible ExtensionPrimary purpose of the role

Collectively responsible for delivering high quality, consistent and timely property related services for customers that align with the Department's Customer Excellence Principles. The Property Officer coordinates repairs, maintenance and inspections for customer properties that are managed by the Department. The role also provides guidance and support to team members and has a clear understanding of when to escalate more complex matters to the Principal Property Officer.

Key Accountabilities Deliver high quality, consistent and timely services to customers, both internally and externally.Coordinate the program of property inspections, repairs and maintenance for customer owned properties with the external providers engaged for these services.Ensure a collaborative approach to repairs, maintenance and inspection matters by working closely with colleagues, customers, stakeholders and external service providers.Access the required systems and processes to support the management of repairs, maintenance and inspections and actively suggest improvements.Understand the relevant legislations and industry codes for inspections, repairs and maintenance of properties.Maintain sensitivity, discretion and a professional manner in handling difficult enquiries and issues.Provide advice on and escalate difficult matters and significant complaints to the Principal Property Officer. Key challenges Manage the delivery of work outputs, competing demands/priorities to generate favourable outcomes for all customers/stakeholders as managed within the Property Service Centre team.Managing repairs, maintenance and inspections whilst ensuring performance is in line with key performance indicators and providing regular updates (verbal/written) to both internal and external customers and stakeholders.Attending to complex enquiries and assisting customers and their families who may have limited property knowledge and understanding of repairs, maintenance and inspection contracts or to supervise builders and contractors. Essential requirements Proven experience in coordinating and managing a high-volume work to oversee property repairs, maintenance and inspections.Capacity to manage external service providers in the repairs, maintenance and inspection of customer owned properties.Understanding of NSW Trustee & Guardian's key services and customer base including experience working and/or supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.Willingness to have phone calls and team email accounts monitored for quality assurance and training purposes, and to participate in one to one review sessions for calls and emails.
