About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
It provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria, and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Victorian School Building Authority The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education.
Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s.
The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs, and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand.
We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.
About the Division The Major Projects & Property Division is responsible for delivering educational infrastructure projects and programs, including the acquisition and management of land as well as the delivery of capital infrastructure projects.
About the Role Located in the Property Branch within the Victorian School Building Authority, this role sits within the Property Branch's seven-person School Operations Unit.
The team is responsible for managing property agreements related to education facilities and providing general property advice and support for schools.
This role reports to the Manager, School Operations, and is primarily responsible for providing support for the School Operations Team and the wider Property Branch, including administrative support in relation to the maintenance of the program database, records management, compilation of data, title searches, procurement documents, and other ad hoc administration as required by the team.
The role also assists in the preparation of related property agreements, under direction and supervision, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
A strong background in Property and Lease Management is required, as well as a good working knowledge of the land titles system, Crown land, leases, and licenses.
Experience with Landata, GovMap/Nearmaps, Maximo, and Sharepoint is desirable.
