About the Role
Join Western Australia's leading, full-service law firm and work in WA's largest Property & Leasing team.

Join our leading Property & Leasing team and work closely with highly regarded partner Anka Burns on a range of complex and challenging matters.
Lavan's Property & Leasing team is the largest of its kind in WA and specialises in all aspects of Property law.
As part of a full-service law firm, the Property & Leasing team works collaboratively with other Lavan practice teams on transactions and projects that involve various areas and sectors of law.
We are seeking a commercially astute, ambitious lawyer 5+ years post admission.
A broad range of property experience and an appreciation of the key drivers in relevant transactions would be advantageous.
As part of our team, you will be engaged in a range of projects and matters including:
Major commercial developments.
All forms of property acquisitions and disposals.
Negotiations of complex leasing arrangements.
General leasing for a variety of retail, commercial and large format retail centres.
Advice and documentation for subdivision and development conditions, for both developer and local government client often working jointly with Lavan's Planning & Environment team.
Innovative developments, including privately operated electricity microgrids.
Occupancy arrangements with a variety of private, government (various levels), institutional and educational entities.
Collaborative work with other Lavan teams, particularly Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Restructuring & Insolvency, Construction & Infrastructure, and Corporate Services.
You will be involved in stimulating and rewarding work as part of a high performing and collaborative team.
About You
You have a passion for this sector and pride yourself on your commercial and practical acumen, understand the commercial drivers of our clients, and have an innovative and pragmatic solutions-focussed style.
You are excellent at fostering and maintaining client relationships, understand commercial drivers and the requirements of clients, and work to provide desired outcomes and innovative solutions.
Further to the relevant legal experience, you will also have:
An interest in business development and attending events.
A desire to learn and continuously improve.
Attention to detail and technical skills.
A strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
A collaborative approach to the delivery of work within a highly skilled team.
