Our client's firm is based in Newcastle CBD, specialising in the areas of commercial law, commercial litigation, probate, property law, conveyancing, and estate planning.About the roleThe team is looking for an experienced Property Lawyer with at least 2 years+ of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate should be familiar with property law and be able to demonstrate experience of conducting sales and purchases of residential and commercial property from beginning to end.You will also have the support and access to the partners within the firm for more complex matters.The position is a permanent full-time position.Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Deal with client/agent/solicitor calls & email enquiriesPrepare draft contracts for saleReview contractsAttend to exchange of contracts and settlementAttend to post-exchange mattersLiaise with incoming and outgoing mortgageesComplete lease transactionsConduct settlements and prepare settlement figures and documentsLiaise with banks, agents, and other stakeholdersUtilise PEXA efficiently and independentlyPreferred applicantsKnowledge of Microsoft Office skillsMinimum 2 years+ experience in a similar roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFollow confidentiality protocols when dealing with sensitive informationYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have in property law?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?
