Pumped hydro energy storage plays a critical role in meeting the Queensland Government's renewable energy targets and Australia's Towards Net Zero goals by 2050. Queensland Hydro's proposed projects can deliver the ultimate assurance for the State's energy transition and secure a stable transition to renewable energy.
Purpose The Project Support role will enable an effective and efficient project development team, supporting key project leaders across various project support, administrative functions, and management tasks.
The Role This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth project operations. Key responsibilities include:
Managing general administrative duties such as arranging travel, proofreading documents, and maintaining accurate project records.Assisting with employee and contractor onboarding.Managing diaries for project leaders.Preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence for business case development and procurement activities.Coordinating personal protective equipment (PPE) orders.Contributing to process improvements.Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.About you The role requires a Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant professional experience, along with strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks within a team, adapting to changing environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software is essential, with experience as an Office Administrator in medium to large organizations preferred. Competence in administrative procedures, document management, and supporting stakeholders with reports and presentations is required. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and professionalism with confidentiality are also essential.
