What you will be doing:
Support the implementation and delivery of Our Place: A First Nations Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2024-2027.
Assist in the preparation of high-quality correspondence, submissions, reports, minutes, agendas and provide secretariat functions.
Monitor and action items from the mailbox and develop and implement effective workflow management and monitoring systems.
Assist with community engagement discussions with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on place-based Local Housing Plans.
Communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to foster collaborative relationships.
Prepare research tasks and project work to support the undertaking of a range of high-quality written material including business reports, practice guides and presentations as required.
Liaise, negotiate and consult with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, non-government organisations, management and staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of support services relevant to projects.
Support a high-performance workplace culture characterised by honesty, trust, inclusion, transparency, accountability and continuous learning.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and issues in urban, regional and remote locations.
Deliver on required work activities within agreed timeframes and be flexible with work changes and shifting priorities.

Seek continuous improvement by generating and sharing creative ideas and suggestions for improvement.
Demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong administration skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Mandatory requirements:
The role may require travel to city, regional and remote locations including overnight stays.
Valid C Class Drivers Licence.
