The Project Delivery branch compiles the ten-year capital works program and coordinates the delivery of all capital projects to provide 'cradle to grave' project management, focusing on total program delivery within budget and time constraints.
The branch takes a lead role in community and councillor coordination and ensures value for money outcomes in all facets of project delivery.
This position will provide support to the Project Officers through the effective and efficient administration of Capital Works contracts.
Key Duties include: Assisting in contract package preparation, defining scopes and procurement schedules to contribute to the contract management of Council's capital works projects.Contributing to tender and evaluation processes by managing timeframes, actions, variations, and amendments to scopes of works, schedules, award recommendations, and participation on various panels.Acting as a key contact for the on-boarding and customer management of awarded contracts/contractors, ensuring all relevant documentation is transferred as required.Administration of site instructions, quality improvement notices, finances, procurement requirements, costings, variations, extensions of time, and liquidated damages.Processing contractors' payments ensuring documentation of assessment of works completed, including variation management, provision of payment schedules, and processing of invoices.About you: You will join a dynamic team with an exciting range of very high-profile projects that will support Council's plans and our region's growth.
As a project manager professional, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working for an organisation in a project, contract, or business administration role.
You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a related profession (e.g., Certificate or Diploma level).
You will have demonstrated professional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus to engage in active listening, communicate persuasively, resolve issues, and foster collaboration and cooperation.
As a requirement of this role, you will have relevant project, contract, or business administration experience collating technical specifications and applying the procedures and standard requirements for procurement services.
