As a Project Support Officer in the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the district's communication landscape, fostering strong community relationships, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
Your role: Operating within a team of adept communication and engagement professionals, you'll delve into research and compose initial correspondences for both internal and external stakeholders. Your capabilities will extend to preparing high-level correspondence in response to customer queries. Furthermore, you'll lend your expertise to supporting stakeholder engagement activities departmental projects.
Your responsibilities: Supporting Stakeholder Engagement Activities: Where necessary, administer, uphold, and ensure the seamless execution of various support activities related to:development and implementation of communication and engagement plans and strategiesresearch and preparation of correspondence for both internal and external stakeholdersMonitor, record and report on media and public responses to project issuesCoordinate and prepare project information materials and reports as directedElevated Administrative Assistance: Offer top-tier administrative support to project managers and team members, which includes:Coordination of stakeholder meetingsDrafting documents and compiling consultation reportsEstablishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registersRecord keeping and database managementProviding timely updates, information, and presentations as the need arisesQualifications: While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable. The preferred candidate will have proven experience in communications, PR, or related field, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
