We deliver a large fleet of heavy earth moving machinery, trucks and light plant to a range of projects in the private, commercial and government sectors. Our project commitments are located throughout Central & Western Queensland & the Bowen Basin.The Role:Due to recent growth, Essjay Contracting are lookingfor experienced Project Supervisors forCivil/Bulk Earthworks projects throughout Central Queensland.This role will be site based and the successful candidate is expected to work on either a driven-in-drive-out or fly-in/fly-out (FIFO), negotiable roster.You will be working closely with the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for ensuring project activities are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.Key responsibilities include:Providing effective leadership and supervision through 'on the ground' presence, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals;Effectively managing resources including rostering and machinery maintenance schedules to ensure efficient production rates;Resolving problems and conflict arising within the crew;Liaising with the client to ensure that their requirements are met;Providing timely and accurate information to meet management and Client requirements;The successful applicant will have:3+ years of experience in supervisory/management role within the mining and/or civil industry;Demonstrated understanding ofcivil plant and equipment operations and maintenance;Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;Possess confident ability to organise and lead diverse teams effectively;A proven communicator across the entire workforce, with the ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;Be a self-starter with high levels of self-motivation and initiative.Have proven strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as systems knowledge.Essjay Contracting will provide:Competitive remuneration;A company vehicle and fuel card (flights when required)Accommodation and meals supplied on site;A great team and culture;Opportunities to professionally develop in a challenging role.Apply:We will be shortlisting for this position soon, so if you are interested please apply by clicking on the 'apply' button below.Alternatively contact our recruitment team on ****** to the volume of applications received for the advertised positions, we are unable to contact each applicant individually to provide an update on the application progress.
