American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) manages all aspects of our vitally important merchant relationships.
GMNS Australia is the largest contributor of active locations in force (ALIF) in the region and has the potential for significant growth.
Business Enablement team is a new team being stood up within GMNS organization to provide first line of support/defense enabling both protection and growth for GMNS business.
Team will achieve this by working very closely with Control Management team, Field and Centre of Excellence teams (Market Compliance, GCO and Risk).
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to be part of this exciting team who will be making a difference to business.

Core responsibilities: Identify, own and drive OREs to resolution in collaboration with all key stakeholders across the business.Co-ordinate with internal and external auditors, executing on auditor's requests and implementing remediation plans.Efficient and timely implementation of regulatory changes including enhancements to existing processes and systems.Establish systems and procedures to enforce robust AML/KYC procedures.Ensure Risk, Compliance and Audit policies are adhered to across the Onboarding process.Ownership and accountability of audit results, outcomes and remediations.Management & resolution of compliance gaps.Identify and implement projects to improve POC and activation.Alignment across GMNS businesses with any nuances, including Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Operational Excellence and Operations teams.Document Standard Operational Procedures. Qualifications: Strong process and Project Management skills together with a demonstrated results orientation (setting targets, prioritization, personal accountability) and proficiency with metrics / KPIs.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining tight deadlines.Strong change management and communication skills.Strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain very detailed project documentation are critical for the role.Highly effective influencing skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders & partners.Experience in compliance related roles is desirable.Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality documentation.Fast learner, able to understand operational processes & capabilities.Good Excel and Power Point skills.Ability to influence without authority.
