That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.Every day we help our clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects in over 120 offices and 47 countries worldwide.Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Infrastructure team in Sydney are looking for a Project Risk Manager with experience in rail, road, airports, power and utilities, or defence sectors to work on State and National projects.Job DescriptionThe Risk Manager's primary focus is on the management and coordination of risk management, ensuring that all elements of risk to the project are identified, analysed, reported and solutions / mitigations developed and implemented.The main duties of a risk manager are :Coordination of risk management to ensure effective project delivery to the highest industry standards.Undertaking both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment (QRA for cost and prolongation risk related to time activities) to support informed and evidence-based decision making within the project.Building and promoting a risk-aware culture across the project which includes increasing levels of awareness, understanding and commitment to risk management issues.Ensuring a program of individual and small group risk reviews and reports are completed to facilitate an accurate understanding of actual and potential risk exposures across the project and facilitating solutions and mitigations, including any required controls and actions.Capturing the data in a risk register to manage the project risk profile.Completing risk reporting associated with monitoring project contingency and potential scope modifications made during the project.Coordinating and reviewing project status reporting and assisting with arrangements for key governance meetings.Providing subject matter expert advice to the project management team in relation to risk management.Supporting the project controls and contract management functions as required.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.4+ years experience working in complex, large scale multidisciplinary projects in the infrastructure industry (rail, road, aviation, power, utilities, defence, etc).Experience and technical proficiency in using risk databases and risk management systems including systems / software to support quantitative risk analysis e.g. @RISK, Active Risk Manager (ARM) and optionally schedule risk analysis e.g. Deltek Acumen Risk.Strong communication and facilitation skills.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
