The CP Early Screening Feasibility Pilot will allow CPA to test the feasibility of a universal screening process for all babies at three sites, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit's (NICU's) of Grace Centre for Newborn Care (Children's Hospital Westmead), John Hunter Children's Hospital (Newcastle), and the Special Care Nursery (SCN) of Blacktown Hospital.
The Project Officer is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of this project across all sites. The role will report to the Business Operation Manager and work in close collaboration with CPA's influence and research teams, and NSW Health to support management of a range of activities to ensure a compliant, effective, and safe research environment. The Project Officer will be the direct point of contact for this pilot study, facilitate timely participant recruitment, ensure reliable collection of data across all sites, and basic financial management. Ethical approval for this pilot has been awarded, and the study will commence upon appointment of this role and site-specific governance at each hospital site has been provided.
Duties Conduct the project in alignment with best practice and strategic priorities to further develop insights and knowledge into the prevention of cerebral palsy. Manage the implementation and coordination of the project including data management and reporting, to ensure high-quality outputs. Monitor and report on project-related financial plans; manage income and expenditure to ensure financial targets are achieved. Identify and escalate risks and issues; provide guidance and expertise to key stakeholders. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Complete reporting requirements for funding bodies to ensure compliance with relevant funding rules and agreements. Prepare submissions for Human Research Ethics and Governance Committees. Maintain all research data and associated administrative documentation. Important Information At CPA, the safety of our staff and clients is of paramount importance.
