We operate in a corporate environment, and do not deliver front line health services to the community.

Your New Role Working as a member of the Procurement and Contracting Unit, you will engage with decision makers within the Department and with a wide range of external stakeholders to establish and manage the contractual relationships the Department has with Community Health Service Providers.

A recruitment pool will be established to fill a number of permanent and fixed term vacancies at Level 5, 6 and 7, and any other similar positions that may become available within the Department throughout the next 24 months (full-time, part-time, permanent and fixed-term contract).

Project Officer Level 5: Performs data analysis and/or project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of procurement and contract management projects.

Senior Project Officer Level 6: Provides strategic procurement and contract planning advice and/or project management support for the team. Supports the implementation of policy and planning reforms for the contracted services.

Principal Project Officer Level 7: Provides professional and strategic management support to the procurement and contract management team through the development, implementation, coordination and management of projects, programs, and initiatives. Provides advice and direction on strategic procurement and contract management projects to support the achievement of organisational objectives.

What are we looking for? Our ideal candidates for these roles will have experience in project management and/or procurement and contract management with the ability to solve problems and develop solutions. You will use your excellent relationship management and effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within the team and with key stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives. A good understanding of the health and community service sector would be advantageous (but not essential) in these positions.
