Position Profile: We are seeking to employ suitably experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Project Officers to help support and implement Move to Improve – a service at Perth Children's Hospital that prescribes personalised physical activity interventions for children with chronic conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, cerebral palsy or burns related injuries.
Move to Improve, co-designed with consumers, is individually tailored to support children and adolescents to develop physical activity goals which are fun and sustainable. The multidisciplinary Move to Improve team helps children to build the motivation, skills and confidence required to lead an active lifestyle. The team works alongside families to mitigate barriers to participation to create long-term physical activity habits.
The successful applicant will have strong skills in project management support, data management, communications and stakeholder consultation and engagement. Experience using RedCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) will be highly regarded but is not essential. It is vital that the successful applicant clearly demonstrates the CAHS values in their daily work.
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up of four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
