About the Program The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.
Students undertake Scholarship programs, participate in Mobility projects, and on completion join an Alumni program.
The strategic objective of the NCP is to strengthen Australia's regional standing by building a diverse cohort of Australian alumni with deeper Indo-Pacific knowledge, capability, and connections, contributing to the development of enduring people-to-people and institutional links, as part of the Australian Government's public and economic diplomacy.
Palladium is contracted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to manage the NCP MASS which underpins the effective operation of the Scholarship, Mobility and Alumni programs, and provides the cross-cutting functions of Finance and Funds Management, Communications, Business Engagement, Risk Management, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).
The program provides these services to the DFAT New Colombo Plan Secretariat (NCS) who oversee the program and lead on all NCP strategy, policy, and key stakeholder relationships.
Role and location The Project Officer – Logistics and Administration is responsible for providing efficient and effective logistics and administration support services for NCP program events and activities.
The role will support the planning, coordination and implementation of travel and logistical arrangements for NCP scholars, alumni and stakeholders to attend events and participate in activities in Australia and internationally.
This will involve supporting events of various size and scale organised or supported by the NCP program, including a series of national conferences, forum and awards events that take place in Canberra targeting NCP alumni and scholars.
It will also include providing support to the NCP contracts management and program support areas (scholarships, mobility and alumni) as needed for travel, logistics and administration arrangement for various program activities.
The preference is for this role to be based in the Palladium Office in Adelaide, South Australia but Brisbane will also be considered.
