Project Officer
Location: Perth
Unit/Division: RDSA - Reform, Design and State Assessment
Join one of WA's most innovative and forward-thinking agencies and be part of something rewarding and exciting. The Project Officer assists with the implementation of sector wide initiatives and major projects that span across multiple business areas and impact workforce and Department outcomes.
You will be responsible for the provision of contemporary, responsive and fit for purpose project and change management principles and practices.
You will also ensure effective management and completion of projects within set timeframes and in accordance with Department and Government priorities.
This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
This process may be used to fill future similar fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
Located in Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Experience managing and delivering strategic projects.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to successfully influence and achieve desired project outcomes.Conceptual, analytical, research and report writing skills, demonstrating a clear ability to synthesise complex information into clear and succinct written recommendations, reports, and briefings.Experience assisting with financial and operational data modelling, with sound knowledge of Government costing processes.Ability to think laterally, be innovative and identify and recommend solutions and improved work practices.Experience in statutory planning and/or local government planning is not essential but would be highly regarded.
