Part Time opportunity Hybrid working environment 4 years contract (until June 2028) The Full Time equivalent Base Salary for this role is $81,000 - $88,000 per annum (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit (Pro-Rata will be calculated for part-time employment). The Opportunity: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for up to 80% of all deaths across countries of the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia, with diabetes and cardiovascular diseases two of the biggest contributors. The RESist-NCD program comprises a comprehensive program of work to support governments in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia to develop and evaluate interventions for the prevention and management of diabetes and hypertension. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Project Officer (PO) to support RESist-NCD's efforts to combat diabetes and hypertension in the Southeast Asia-Pacific region. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Work closely with the Program Coordinator to manage Institute contractual agreements and administrative tasks. Develop administrative processes and program management tools, including milestone tracking tools. Support the Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) coordinator to monitor program progress, including liaising with RESist-NCD country teams to access MEL data, and managing and monitoring this data centrally, and reporting on impact and achievements according to DFAT requirements. Draft research ethics submissions linked to RESist-NCD activities and manage ethics submission processes. Support the Program Coordinator to process and track program budget expenditure and develop appropriate terms of reference for program governance committees. Coordinate meetings of the RESist-NCD Leadership team and other governance committees. Support the maintenance of RESist-NCD program data in the SPoT database across all phases of the program (including impact data), and generate SPoT reports regularly to inform progress. Coordinate program communications, including website content. Our Successful Candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in public health, international development, or a related field. Proven experience in implementing projects, preferably in the health sector or public health programs. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in multicultural and collaborative environments. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of products. Highly competent with database administration and maintenance. Strong focus on quality of work and maintenance of excellent records. Flexibility with work hours where team members may be working overseas, or to participate in global meetings. The closing date for applications is midnight on Thursday 22 August 2024.
