About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
It provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria, and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is a statutory authority established under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 and regulates school education in Victoria.
Within the VRQA, the Schools Division is responsible for ensuring independent, Catholic, and government schools, school boarding premises, and other school sector providers comply with minimum standards for registration, including the Child Safe Standards.
The VRQA regulates for quality learning outcomes and you will help Victorian students receive a quality education in safe and well-governed environments.
About the Role The Project Officer plays a vital role in supporting regulatory projects and programs within the Schools Division.
The role operates in a dynamic environment within a small professional and motivated team and reports to the Manager, Regulatory Projects, Risks and Resources.
A key responsibility of the role includes planning and undertaking administration of regulatory projects and programs of the Schools Division.
Other responsibilities include collecting and analysing data associated with projects undertaken, reporting on project outcomes, and providing general support to the Schools Division teams to ensure smooth project and program management.
