Project Officer Ongoing roleUsual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: 35 Collins Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)The Role The Project Officer within the TAFE Assurance Team provides administrative and secretarial support to the team and assists with the communication, scheduling and distribution of papers for key meetings, events, and projects.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role reports to the Senior Project Officer in the team, but the successful candidate will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated and have an opportunity to take ownership of some tasks, learn and grow, while also supporting the team on other projects. Secretariat duties include the timely preparation of meeting materials, agendas, presentations, and minutes, as well as continuous improvement of committee processes.
Key Accountabilities include: Working closely with the Senior Project Officer and Manager to support projects and direct the flow of information to meet organisational goals.Maintenance of accurate data, records, databases and information management systems.Work closely with the Senior Project Officer and Manager to deliver strategic change through a combination of project and business-as-usual activity.The Team The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) and sits within the Skills and Employment (SE) group.
SE focuses on enabling Victorians to gain access to skills and employment opportunities and enabling a strong pipeline of workers to meet Victoria's skills needs, now and into the future.
The OTCD is primarily responsible for driving change in the way in which the Victorian TAFE Network provides training as a coordinated network and serves Victorian students, employers, and communities and responds to Government priorities.
About You The role will suit someone who works well with a team, can follow instructions and processes with an eye for detail, and can demonstrate a willingness to solve problems as needed. Demonstrated experience providing secretariat support will be a plus.
