About the Clinical Area You will work collaboratively within Clinical Haematology and Palliative Care Clinical Haematology Clinical Haematology provides services for a wide range of benign and malignant haematological conditions in the inpatient, specialist clinics, day treatment and home settings. Apheresis, autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation form part of the service.
Palliative Care Palliative Care Services includes a 24-bed specialist inpatient Palliative Care Unit, a Consultancy service to inpatients and outpatient of Austin Health, and acute palliative care services to patients at home or residential aged care facilities. 
About the role The Project Officer is responsible for assisting with project coordination and implementation of 'Early Palliative Intervention and Care for Haematology Patients' (EPIC), including:
A regular day will see you:
Manage the project to ensure timelines are met, issues and risks are identified, and appropriately managed, and high-quality deliverables are achievedCoordinate and facilitate regular steering committee meeting formulating agenda items and maintaining accurate recording of meeting minutesRecording data on electronic data capture platform and coordinating visit schedules Assisting to draft and coordinate resources for preparation of a manuscript and publication of study findingsCoordinate submissions and other relevant correspondence with the Austin Health Human Research Ethics CommitteeAbout you To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in healthcare, nursing, or allied healthExcellent organisation and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and achieve performance targetsDemonstrated skills and experience in data collection (quality or research projects), management, and reportingExperience in ethics applications and knowledge of ICH/GCPDemonstrated proficiency with information technology, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and ExcelWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
