The role
You will work as part of a small, collaborative project team responsible for supporting the implementation of the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2024. The project is dynamic and challenging and will require you to be flexible and agile in your approach as implementation activities progress.
The Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2024 establishes the Queensland Pharmacy Business Ownership Council as a new statutory body and introduces a licensing framework for pharmacy business owners in Queensland. The project team is responsible for a diverse range of implementation activities related to the Act, including supporting the initial operations of the Council, developing a fit-for-purpose ICT solution for the Council to administer and regulate the Act and supporting pharmacy business owners in the transition process.
Working as part of a project team, responsibilities will include:
developing and maintaining project documents such as project plans, progress reports and registers (e.g. risks and issues, assumptions/dependencies/constraints, stakeholder engagement meetings);providing secretariat support for advisory and stakeholder groups and committees;working closely with the PBOIU team to support communications with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.The candidate will contribute to the successful achievement of the project's objectives by working both autonomously and collaboratively.
The successful person To be successful in this position, you will be a clear written and verbal communicator and have experience in drafting documents such as presentations, reports and communications with stakeholders. You will actively contribute to the delivery of a range of documents such as project plans, meeting papers, correspondence, speaking notes and stakeholder communications.
You will be highly organised and be able to deliver work within agreed timeframes. Previous experience in providing support to and being an active contributor to an ICT project team would be highly regarded.
You will be required to work collaboratively as part of a small project team. You will use your strong interpersonal skills to work with others in the team to deliver aspects of the project.
