About the role The Project Officer – Grants Administration and Reporting role supports program delivery across various telecommunications infrastructure grants designed to foster economic development, inclusion, and public safety. These activities are delivered in consultation or partnership with internal and external stakeholders. A background in telecommunications, ICT or technology are not prerequisites for this position.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to support the delivery of a substantial program of activity with a clear mandate for action from both government and external stakeholders. They will have proven communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in supporting/coordinating the development and implementation of projects and/or grant programs.
About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in supporting project implementation (for example, project coordination, grant management, project reporting). Experience with grant management processes and systems such as GEMS/Salesforce or other CRMs is desirable.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a team and other stakeholders.Ability to analyse and summarise information and present output including through reports and presentations. Ability to identify and document risks, issues, trends and opportunities relevant to project delivery.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to confidently convey ideas and information and understand and meet the needs of various audiences. Experience developing project reporting, briefs and correspondence would be well regarded.Demonstrated knowledge of structures and processes of government and the public service.A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded.Key Accountabilities Manage aspects of the delivery of grant programs and assigned projects and business initiatives under supervision, ensuring project objectives are met.Use of a range of grant management systems, including GEMS and P-Track, to support grant and contract administration activities.Build and maintain effective relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to assist with delivery of project/program outcomes.Prepare and present high-quality reports, project documentation, submissions, briefings and correspondence for diverse stakeholders and senior decision makers.Use knowledge of structures, processes and culture of government and the Department to support the delivery of project outcomes.This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
