Role Details The Project Officer, Community and Social Investments, is a role within Community Investment and Support and is accountable to the Manager, Community Connections for: Developing responsive and efficient program strategies for areas of identified community need.
Developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders to support delivery of community services.
Producing quality advice and program management on contemporary issues regarding providing high quality, effective community services.
Contributing to the planning and monitoring of community services programs.
Key Outcomes/Accountabilities: Evaluate the implementation of community services policies and programs, including undertaking appropriate data and outcome analysis.
Provide advice to senior management on community services programs and strategic initiatives.
Consistently demonstrate a commitment to quality standards, proactively identify improvements and show initiative in addressing improvement needs.
Actively contribute to the development and improvement of systems to facilitate best practice processes that underpin the department's community services policies and procedures.
Gather and analyse appropriate information applying both qualitative and quantitative methods, and statistical measurement to formulate solutions and integrate findings in improvement processes.
Maintain professionalism and a commitment to respectful interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
Develop and implement effective communication strategies across DHS to promote identified community service programs.
Negotiate tendering of contracts, overseeing the tendering process and effective contract management.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department.
The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.
Special Conditions National Police Check required.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant business or project management discipline (post-graduate preferred) OR equivalent of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation is desirable.
Please note this position is Part-Time 30 hours per week.
