Our Property Strategy and Capital Works team leads the development, fit-out, and maintenance of the organisation's property strategy, ensuring an accessible and supportive environment for employees and participants.
About the Role As an APS6 Project Officer within the Property Strategy & Capital Works team, you'll work under limited direction to lead complex projects in alignment with organisational objectives.
This is a leadership role involving delegated authority to manage risks, resolve issues, and oversee activities across diverse initiatives.
You'll bring expertise in project planning, risk assessment, performance management, and team leadership.
You'll provide technical, policy, and operational guidance to drive progress on essential projects that support building a world-leading service.
Develop and manage project plans and schedules in line with the organisation's project management framework Offer technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making Conduct research, analyse data, and prepare draft reports on project activities Coordinate regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports Draft business cases, project plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation Monitor project budgets, review expenditures, and support procurement and contract management Identify and manage project risks, issues, and benefits, ensuring project quality meets client needs About you To thrive in this role, you need: Experience in a capital projects environment, with a solid understanding of project management fundamentals General knowledge of Australian Government Procurement Guidelines Proficiency in interpreting planning and design documentation Skilled in managing external and internal relationships Familiarity with construction processes, fit-outs, and industry terminology Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an Australian Citizen.
