Position Overview: We require the services of a dynamic, high performing Project Manager to work on a new project located in Kalgoorlie, WA. The role assumes complete ownership of profit and loss, strategic direction, project delivery, client relationships and the leadership and growth of direct reports.
The core duties include: Ensuring compliance and management in accordance with the tender model.Ensuring the projects performance is to the company's overall operating strategy and standards.Being responsible for the safety and environmental requirements of the project.Maintaining overall authority in the determination of all matters affecting the implementation and operation of Quality practices on the Project.Ensuring plant and equipment allocated to the project is maintained to achieve budgeted availabilities, unit operating costs and planned operating lives.Ensuring project tasks are planned far enough in advance and reviewed with relevant stakeholders to avoid project delays, exposure to hazards or re-work.Preparation and updating of project schedules.Providing leadership, direction and regular communication to employees.Understanding the obligations of both Mancala and the Client under the contract.Daily, weekly and monthly reporting in accordance with Company and Client requirements.Requirements: Experience in an operational and management role in the mining industry essential.Qualifications in Project Management and knowledge of Project Management methodologies.Competent in the use of Microsoft project or other scheduling tool.Competent in the use of Pronto or equivalent accounting software with understanding of project cost coding and forward cost estimating.Strong leadership skills including good communication and delegation.Effective planning and organising skills including establishment of goals, setting priorities, scheduling activities and arranging necessary resources.Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills.Working rights in Australia.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and National Police Clearance.Conditions: FIFO provided from Australian capital cities, ideal candidate will be WA based.Flights, meals and accommodation are provided when on roster.Competitive terms and conditions of employment.How to apply: If you are interested in this role, please click on the apply button to submit your resume along with a cover letter containing two current referees and any relevant certificates/qualifications you may have.
