The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available to be part of a team delivering a meaningful and impactful project upgrading Social Housing dwellings with energy performance upgrades. The Social Housing Energy Performance Initiative (SHEPI) is a state and federal partnership to upgrade social housing properties across the state. Up to 4300 households will benefit from home energy upgrades, aimed at reducing energy consumption and lowering power bills. This project will run from late 2024 to June 2027 and the Department of Communities is looking for a dynamic Project Manager and Senior Project Officer to deliver the energy upgrades.
The Roles
As Project Manager - Level 7 , you will take charge of the installation of all upgrades and overseeing the projects schedule, budgets, scope, and the quality of phase deliverables ensuring alignment with the project strategic objectives. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and effectively manage performance of the project and contribute to the inter-agency working group.
As Senior Project Officer - Level 6 , you support the Project Manager in realising the project objectives and applying project discipline to manage milestones and delivery of key objectives. You will be working both independently and collaboratively to develop and deliver project outputs. Preparation and delivery of progress reports and briefs.

There is currently one (1) fixed term position for the Program Manager role, and one (1) fixed term position for the Senior Project Officer role. Each opportunity is available for immediate filling until June 2026.
