About the role: Leveraging our recent success in securing projects within regional Australia and bolstered by a robust pipeline of upcoming work, we are seeking a dedicated Project Manager (s) / Senior Project Manager (s) to enhance our team. These roles offer the unique opportunity to contribute across a diverse array of projects within our expansive portfolio located in South Australia (SA), Queensland (QLD), Western Australia (WA), and the Northern Territory (NT). As a direct report to the Construction Manager, your core focus will involve overseeing the management of projects with an emphasis on maintaining quality, ensuring technical compliance, and streamlining processes throughout the project lifecycle—from the tender award phase to execution and final close-out. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating stakeholder engagement and overseeing project delivery processes to achieve our stringent quality objectives.
The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
Managing project financial performance and reportingManaging subcontractor selection, engagement, and performancePreparing, evaluating, and implementing Quality Assurance plans and other essential technical documentation across various projects to guarantee efficiency and compliance.Planning and managing the timely execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered within the allocated budget and scope.Engaging in proactive stakeholder management and communication to foster collaborative relationships.Demonstrating leadership and fostering teamwork through exemplary communication skills, guiding both internal teams and external contractors.Employing innovative problem-solving skills, both independently and as a collaborative team member.Conducting regular project reporting internally and externally to maintain transparency and alignment with project goals and objectives.Upholding a steadfast dedication to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Environmental standards, promoting a culture of safety-first practices.The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in the Defence, Defence industry/ Defence Prime, Industrial, or Commercial sectors. This position offers a position to collaborate intimately with a dynamic team of skilled professionals. You will have the opportunity to impart your technical expertise, offer guidance, and share best practices, contributing significantly to the team's collective success.
The successful applicant shall demonstrate the following: Must be an Australian citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Base Line - Australian Defence security clearance (DCAC) if already not held.Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.Previous experience working for a head contractor or managing contractor.Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.Proven industry experience on $10-50m+ brown or greenfield building projects.Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration when interacting with project teams, management, suppliers, subcontractors, designers, and client stakeholder groups.Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and building regulations.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and efficient use of MS Project and other MS Office suite programmes.Refined commercial acumen and experience in contract administration, claims, reporting, budget, expenditure & finance.Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore or Aconex, and ERP systems like Pronto, is considered an advantage.Willingness to travel to our regional construction sites as required.Construction White Card, current Driver's license.A clean national police clearance (NPC) is a mandatory requirement of this role.What we offer: This is a full-time position with attractive remuneration for the right candidate.
