Exciting opportunity for a Project Manager seeking a new opportunity. We are currently seeking a Project Manager for a tier one mining company, based out of their office in Adelaide.
This is a contract role, working across a portfolio of multiple projects.
Position Objectives: Responsible for the effective scoping, design, procurement, and delivery of mining control systems projects.
Key Responsibilities: Project manage or provide professional input for the delivery of nominated projects within a mining environment. Drive progress on projects from design all the way through to completion. Manage budget and project timelines for various projects. Coordinate procurement and consultation for relevant projects in accordance with our client's policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with WHS Regulations in respect of all projects managed including our client and contractor activities. Required Skills & Knowledge: Solid knowledge of mining projects, specifically an understanding of mining technology, mining control systems, and fleet management systems. Sound use of computer software including Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and CAT Mine-Star Fleet. High level communication and negotiation skills. Effective analytical and interpretive skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Sound ability to determine priorities and work autonomously. High level risk identification and problem solving skills. Required Experience & Qualifications: Previous mining, project management experience. Diploma in Project Management. Substantial experience in the project management of technology projects and mining control systems. Considerable experience in the management of contractors and consultants inclusive of progress and variation payment claim assessment. Considerable experience in project budget preparation and management.
