We are excited to be partnering with a Queensland Government department to source a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager (AO8) to join their Program Management Office (PMO). This role will be pivotal in driving the successful delivery of critical projects across this complex organisation.
About the Role: As a centralised project management resource, you will work across a wide range of complex projects and programs ensuring their successful delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.Contribute your expertise to a diverse portfolio of projects, including those related to stakeholder management, workforce optimisation, and outsourced community services delivery.Collaborate with senior government officials and agency heads to align project priorities with broader government strategies and objectives.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in accordance with government guidelines and procurement processes. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.Lead and support high-performing project teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability within a government context.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges, while complying with government risk management frameworks.Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, agency representatives, external service providers, and community members.Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability in compliance with government financial regulations.Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and executive summaries to inform decision-making and keep stakeholders updated, adhering to government reporting standards.Facilitate organisational change initiatives, minimising disruption and maximising adoption within the government context.Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management methodologies.Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively.Proven experience in leading teams and driving organisational change.Ability to analyse complex data, identify issues, and develop solutions.Effective communication and reporting skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.Understanding of government policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.If you are ready to make a difference and drive organisational excellence, we want to hear from you!
