About the role: Transmax has grown significantly over the last 18 months, and we are not slowing down!
We're in the next exciting stage of our growth phase and looking for our next professional to perform a key role within our Project Management Office (PMO).
You will work across a varied portfolio collaborating with customer and project technical leads to develop and maintain project plans and schedules, identify and manage project risks and resolve project issues as they arise.
Working as Project Manager - Level 2 you will support our PMO in the successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects (both internal and external).
You will accurately track projects, resolve resourcing issues, develop and maintain project documentation and reports as well as efficiently and professionally communicate project outcomes.
This role is an intermediate level; meaning this position takes on some accountability and decision making in day-to-day activities, however, will escalate more complex issues through to a senior level within the organisation, as required.
This level acts as first and mid-tier support for project related queries and issues.
Your day-to-day will focus on delivery, customer and internal outcomes including:
Utilising Transmax project methodologies; develop and maintain project schedules, documentation, risk registers and treatment plans in conjunction with project teams and customers.Resolve project issues in conjunction with project teams and customers.Track project performance using Earned Value techniques, supported by the wider PMO.Liaise with the Release Manager to ensure that software projects are delivered in the appropriate release.Develop project status, financial and monthly customer status reports.Participate in project status reviews and escalation of critical risks to the Portfolio Governance Committee and Senior Management as required.Adhere to Transmax commercial governance policies and procedures.Actively engage customer representatives in the management of projects manage customer status meetings efficiently.About You: We are looking for a professional, well-organised self-starter with experience working on multiple projects across a wide portfolio.
You will display exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport, influence and negotiate with all levels of staff (both internal and external).
You will be motivated, proactive and able to self-manage your workload and conflicting priorities effectively and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment.
You will have: Tertiary level qualifications in Project or Program Management.Minimum 2 years' experience managing project teams (experience managing multiple small to medium sized projects with Customer facing responsibilities highly regarded).Strong problem-solving skills.Comfortably utilise a range of Project Management Microsoft tools including Office (Word and Excel) as well as Microsoft SharePoint.Experience in Project Resource Management.Experience working in IT environments and/or managing system deployments.Any experience working with Salesforce/Certinia Professional Services Automation (PSA) would be desirable not essential.What does Transmax offer?
