Project Manager – Business Services Project Manager – Business Services City of Gold Coast Full-time, $131k-$163k range plus 12% super Be part of driving transformation across a progressive organisation Full-time fixed term 18 month opportunities for key senior project leaders Gold Coast location Inspired by lifestyle.Driven by opportunity.That's the vision of the City of Gold Coast .The City of Gold Coast is Australia's second-largest local government authority, and their people are united in their passion for delivering the best for their City.Every day we help shape and deliver ambitious projects that enhance the Gold Coast way of life.From transforming the way we operate to deliver the right mix of services in a sustainable way, to engineering the big ideas of the future using technology and data to deliver excellent customer and employee experiences.Position Overview The City of Gold Coast is dedicated to delivering ambitious projects that enhance the Gold Coast way of life.These newly created roles (x2) involve transforming operations, using technology and data to provide excellent customer and employee experiences.As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for technical and business change delivery, adhering to the City's governance framework.You will lead various Business Improvement projects focusing on efficiency, safety, and significant financial savings.Procurement Transformation :This initiative involves a comprehensive overhaul of procurement processes across the organisation, targeting significant financial savings of tens of millions over two years.It focuses on improving both pre-contract award processes and post-contract award management to minimise leakage and enhance contract management.Key responsibilities include implementing IT solutions for contract management, managing project plans, schedules, risks, reporting and resource allocation .Administration and Depot Consolidation :This project entails consolidating administrative accommodations and depot facilities, overseeing construction projects, staff relocation, and change management.Construction managers and change management specialists will support this role.The role involves developing and managing project plans to facilitate the transition of businesses to new depots, ensuring smooth and efficient relocation processes.Roles and Responsibilities Lead and manage project deliverables within defined scope, budget, time, and quality parameters.Produce project management products, ensuring technical feasibility and business outcomes.Plan, request, and manage resources efficiently.Establish project governance in line with City's framework.Facilitate and develop efficient approaches for future service delivery.Implement risk and issue management strategies.Provide detailed reports to stakeholders and management, escalating issues as necessary.Maintain a detailed project schedule and cost plan.Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring business readiness and organisational change plans meet customer needs.Experience With a minimum of 5 years in project management, focusing on Business Improvement projects, the ideal candidate will have proven experience managing projects involving significant organisational change and experience with Agile delivery methodologies and a P3M approach.They will be adept at navigating complex organisations, proactively seeking internal pathways, and identifying key stakeholders to enable project delivery.Applicants should possess a PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification, demonstrating a solid foundation in project management methodologies.Additionally, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) qualification, or equivalent Agile certifications, is preferred.This combination of traditional project management and Agile expertise ensures the candidate is well-equipped to manage diverse project environments and methodologies.Benefits When you join the City of Gold Coast, they provide pathways and opportunities for you to grow and achieve your potential;
