QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.
It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations, and correctional and health facilities.
About the role You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by offering advanced skills, leadership, and professional knowledge in project management consulting services.
Duties and skills involved: Coordinate and manage all building project implementation activities from pre-design to post-construction, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.Coordinate project activities of staff, consultants, contractors, and business units to meet project objectives.Provide high-level contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional systems.Manage projects to meet client scope, time, cost, quality, and profitability targets, maintaining daily client interactions.Effectively engage and coordinate project team members for pre-design, documentation, and construction services.Lead negotiations with consultants, authorities, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and stakeholder satisfaction.Preferred skills and experience: A relevant tertiary qualification (for example, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning or Quantity Surveyor).All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
