Urban Building Solutions Pty Ltd (UBS) is a growing insurance building company within the ARA Group with a large portfolio of national insurance clients within strata, commercial and residential sectors. With our head office in Sydney's Inner West, UBS operates in Sydney and Newcastle extending south to Batemans Bay / ACT and north up to the Queensland border. We plan to open UBS Queensland next year.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. In this role you will be an integral member of the UBS team reporting to the Construction Manager. There is an opportunity for an immediate start; however, we are prepared to wait for the right person to join us.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. You will bring to the role your local experience together with a diverse network of reliable sub-contractors who will deliver quality work consistent with the UBS brand.
In this new role, you will have the responsibility of managing the administration of all projects with support provided by the Construction Manager, Site Project Manager, and the office-based administration team.
The role will require you to work closely with our clients, administration team, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients and customers. A strong work ethic and customer service ethos is a must.

A fully paid company vehicle including personal usage A friendly and supportive team environment Flexible working including limited working from home opportunities once training has been completed Duties & Responsibilities: Review of documentation to understand the history of all approved jobs prior to commencement and allocation to relevant supervisors – raise issues to the Estimating team if required Create expected budgets for the supervisors and agree on provisional schedule / completion dates Manage provisional sums and client variations with the supervisor Manage client updates and progress reports with the supervisor Manage the procurement of trades with the supervisor Conduct regular fortnightly WIP meetings with supervisors to identify potential job issues. Coordinate with accounts the submission of progress claims and final client invoices Proactively assess Supervisor KPIs Education & Qualifications: Valid Driver's License White card Experience & Knowledge: Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar Project Manager role – insurance industry experience is preferred although not essential You will understand the commercial aspects of your role Excellent relationship management & communication skills, both written and verbal A highly organised approach and attention to detail Intermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
