Position Overview We are seeking a diligent and capable Junior Project Manager to join our team in Adelaide.
This role will manage an integrated project team (IPT) responsible for producing both hardware and software components.
The successful candidate will be well-versed in traditional waterfall project management as well as agile methodologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for aerospace and defence projects.
Key Responsibilities Project Management : Oversee and manage all aspects of project delivery using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Team Leadership : Lead an integrated project team (IPT) composed of hardware and software engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
Planning and Scheduling : Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Microsoft Platforms : Utilise Microsoft Project, Excel, and other Microsoft platforms to manage project data and communications.
Compliance : Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience : 1-3 years of experience in project management within the aerospace or defense industry.
Skills : Proficiency in traditional waterfall and agile project management techniques.
Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of aircraft development processes and lifecycle.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to hold and maintain an NV-1 security clearance.
Certifications : PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
