They specialise in medium size structural steel fabrication, structural steel installation, shop detailing and 3D modelling for the commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors from Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Mid North Coast and beyond.
They are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team working on Tier 1 projects.About the Role The Project Manager is a key position within the Projects delivery team, encompassing all facets of project delivery including safety, quality, program delivery, and budgeting.
You will be working on delivering projects including airport expansions, shopping centres, new aged care and child care facilities, or universities.Key responsibilities of this role include:
Determining necessary resources (staffing, equipment, and materials) for entire projects Collaboration with draftsmen to determine project specifications Conducting frequent site inspections Managing day-to-day aspects of projects Ensuring the supply of quality products that meet/exceed customer expectations Managing and reporting financial outcomes at job completion Providing WIP and job cost reports Tracking job costs, and reviewing and approving invoicing Managing key relationships with customers and service providers Negotiating with suppliers, contractors and customers to achieve financial outcomes and deliverables Implementation and maintenance of safety, quality and environmental strategies, policies and standards
About You: You will be experienced in end-to-end project management, specifically in the construction industry, including the installation of structural steel.
You will also have:A minimum of 5 years industry specific experience in a similar role working on steel construction projects Appropriate licenses and registrations (such as Drivers Licence, White Card etc).
Experience in estimating/cost modelling.
Knowledge in developing erection methodologies and scheduling site deliveries.
Knowledge of Australian Standards & Building Codes in relation to Supply & Erection of Structural Steel Ability to lead and drive project tracking and performance Ability to work, liaise and communicate with all internal and external team members effectively Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
