With a strong pipeline of projects ahead, we are a rapidly expanding Civil Construction Company that is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join our high calibre and ever expanding team or an up and coming Project Manager with the relevent Project Engineering experience.
The Role You will draw your demonstrated site and engineering experience and be responsible for dealing with program, quality control, onsite safety, environmental compliance, and management of subcontractors for a large project, which is expected to take 2 years to construct. You will have an awareness of the commercial aspects for the project, to ensure maximum outcome. This role provides a great opportunity for career advancement through increased responsibility and opportunities to be involved in all aspects of this project construction and future projects. The role is for 5.5 days per week.
Added Bonuses: Accommodation will be provided in a share house environment, should the successful candidate wish to take that opportunity.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: The efficient and effective management of the commercial and contractual activities on the project. Effective and consistent implementation of the company's commercial policies. Assisting in the preparation of request quotations for subcontractors and supply teams. Preparation of progress certificates for subcontractors and suppliers. Preparation and submission of monthly OHS/ENV/QA report to company executives. Monitoring compliance to program timelines and milestones. Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role within the construction environment with 5+ years' experience.
Skills, Qualifications and other Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering Relevant experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager, several years as a Project Engineer or similar position Good understanding of earthmoving plant and concrete construction Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Working knowledge of Microsoft Work and Excel etc Previous experience in bulk earthworks, major waterways, structures and dam upgrades beneficial but not essential You will receive a competitive remuneration package commensurate with your experience.
