With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.About the OpportunityThe Major Maintenance Team provides Project Management, Engineering and Infrastructure Maintenance support to deliver the Annual Works Plan and various infrastructure upgrade projects within the Interstate Network.
The outcomes of these projects are to improve operational reliability, reduce asset failures as well as improve asset availability.What do we want from you?Contribute to the implementation of the Annual Works Plan by leading discrete project(s), ranging in size from $0.1M to $10M annually, to best achieve ARTC's objectives.Report to the Program Delivery Manager on the physical and financial progress and issues related to the projects to ensure timely and accurate information is provided where necessary.Facilitate all internal stakeholder, external stakeholder and interface approvals, including obtaining Environmental and Planning approvals and ensuring compliance.Prepare Project Management Plans for approval in a timely fashion to allow adequate time to execute the project.Lead an internal and/or external team to successfully execute a project in order to achieve ARTC's objectives for the project.Proven experience in a Project Manager position within the rail industry (desirable but not essential).What will you get from us?Talk to us about flexible working optionsCompetitive remunerationResources to support your health and wellbeing and developmentNovated leasing options, as well as discounts and support programs24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family membersOur Organisation and CultureAt ARTC, we're more than just a rail network.
