PROJECT MANAGER Main Duties/Responsibilities: Supervision of up to 20 employees Purchase Orders as per company policy Assisting in the management of service and repairs to plant and equipment Co-ordinating with customers and suppliers Carry out works as per job/project schedule Monitor and maintain job schedules. Ensure safe and competent operation of assigned plant to Company Standards on road networks and Civil Construction/Maintenance projects. Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities. Adhere to and display a commitment to health & safety, environment and quality policies and procedures. Safety compliance ensuring works are being conducted in accordance with required SWMS Conduct WHS audits/inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments Conduct toolbox talks and daily prestarts Undertake regular maintenance checks on any assigned plant. Thorough knowledge in mobile plant capabilities and utilisation. Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations. Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the Company. Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Manager. Experience: 5 or more years' experience in a similar position/industry (or equivalent) Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of the National Vehicle Regulator regulations and requirements Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with Company policy and procedure Ability to work as part of a team, actively encouraging others and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team. Leadership skills Anticipating situations and problems, finding appropriate solutions, grasping opportunities for improvements and taking ownership for continuous improvement Ability to set objectives for yourself and others, taking a forward-looking perspective, and delivering successful outcomes within agreed parameters.
