Project Manager Opportunity | Brisbane  About Degnan Degnan are a national Rail contractor recognised as one of the most client-focused, Australian-owned construction companies for challenging infrastructure. Due to a significant project win, we are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join the QLD business.
Due to ongoing growth across our Queensland business, we are seeking an established PM to join the business. 
Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Engineering, Construction or similar, or equivalent years of relevant experience Construction Industry Induction Card Minimum 10 years' experience in construction/engineering environment Working knowledge of HSEQ requirements and implementation of sameEnsuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied Demonstrated project management experience Competent in planning and organising work schedules Principles and practices of contract and construction management, risk management, project scheduling and management Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied Relevant rail experience is desirable Understanding of sustainability principles in through all project phases including design, procurement and construction is desirable Understanding of System and Safety Assurance processes is desirable Personal Qualities  Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others Presented problem solving / analytical skills Demonstrated relevant leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skill Excellent organisation skills Attention to detail Time management Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organisation and externallyHealth, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)  Provides positive leadership to subcontractors monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures Ensures that the appropriate personnel are in place with delegated responsibilities to guarantee quality procedures are integrated Ensures implementation of project quality plan Ensures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possibleCompletes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority. Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action Adheres to safety and environmental plan for project and communicates it to project team members including suppliers and subcontractors Ensures compliance with all relevant Rail Safety legislation and completes a relevant Rail Safety Induction (where required and applicable) Communicates any identified gaps in safety and environmental knowledge / skills for the project Continually assesses the project for high risk activities and hazards and in conjunction with appropriate personnel recommend approach and ensure action is taken Demonstrates an understanding of the process of incident / accident prevention and incident / accident reporting Personally attend to all safety and environmental issues as soon as notified Participates in the preparation of work activity assessments in terms of risk analysis / safe work method statements procedures Ensures the appropriate Safety Risk Assessments and Safety Assurance activities are completed for the projectEncourages and educates people to report potential safety and environmental hazards Takes immediate action on all reported safety and environmental hazards. Ensure the engagement of subcontractors comply with Degnan safety management system and procedures Planning and Operations  Manage and lead the project delivery through all phases of a project including design, procurement, construction, commissioning and final documentation Provide support and advice on planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management modelIdentifies what Authorities are appropriate in obtaining approvals with specific project work and interrelationships between Authorities Prepares Authority submissions and approval program to fit within the project program Obtains the most favorable approval conditions possible from Authorities Ensures site specific management plans are implemented Ensures System and Safety Assurance activities are completed on projects Ensures the construction related aspects of the project meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost and quality Prepares, maintains and achieves detailed short-term target programsHow to Apply: Please click 'Apply Now' or contact Stuart on ******** .
