The Strategic Futures Command is responsible for supporting and assisting the organisation to adopt and embed a more future focused and strategic view to improving organisational outcomes.
It is accountable for a diverse range of activities focused on improving organisational performance and capability; research and evaluation; strategic partnership and stakeholder relationship management; strategic planning, management and reporting; operational performance, data analytics and reporting; and innovation.
Key Responsibilities Support the Director, Innovation & Integration Group in the provision of an effective and highly capable internal consultancy and strategic project delivery service. Develop and implement best practice project management principles, practices, methodologies, and tools to facilitate effective project delivery. Lead and manage delivery of a diverse range of key complex and strategic projects and initiatives as directed by the Director, Innovation & Integration Group. Lead the development of innovative, contemporary and fit for purpose solutions in projects/consultancies, ensuring alignment to the strategic objectives and priorities of QCS. Lead complex data-collection, research, analysis, and consultations to support project delivery and inform project recommendations. Effectively identify and manage risks and issues to ensure successful delivery of designated projects and initiatives. Track, monitor, and report on the status of projects, initiatives and consultancies being managed. Lead and manage the successful implementation of initiatives and project outcomes/recommendations, ensuring the intended benefits are realised. Manage responses to adhoc requests relating to business and corrective system improvement initiatives. Provide evidence-based expert advice to the Deputy Commissioner Organisational Capability and other Executives relating to designated project/consultancy findings and outcomes that have significant implications for QCS. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of designated projects/consultancies and implementation of initiatives/project recommendations. Prepare reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project/consultancy outcomes, findings, and recommendations. Ensure the effective use and management of human and financial resources to deliver projects in an efficient and commercially sustainable manner. Contribute to developing a workplace environment that values performance, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services. Undertake any other duties as assigned.
