Join the Office of the Deputy Director General branch with this fixed term temporary opportunity based in Brisbane CBD. As the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading a project management support team to manage all the dependencies and status reporting across the program including the plan, scope, budget, quality, and risks of the program.
Reporting to the Program Director, your role will be responsible for providing effective leadership in project management, financial management, human resource planning, procurement, and change management, ensuring alignment with the strategic priorities of the department.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated:
Demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas: change management, project management, financial management, human resource planning, or contract management.Proven ability to provide effective leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating communications activity, ensuring all output is aligned to strategic priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build influential and productive relationships across organisational and sector boundaries, particularly in a time of crisis.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a communications and/or project management context, in a high-pressure environment.Demonstrated leadership and people management skills within a project environment, including the ability to effectively coach and mentor staff.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
