As a manager, you'll represent the department during delivery of the Queensland Resources Common User Facility (QRCUF) to support the critical minerals industry in Queensland. You will manage technical and commercial issues relating to the future operation of the government-owned facility. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders on operational planning activities to support project delivery. Please refer to the role profile for comprehensive requirements.

About the role: Provide high level advice to management on technical and commercial issues relating to the Queensland Resources Common User Facility (QRCUF) project and future operation of the facility. Ensure all aspects of the project within the department's responsibility are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Work collaboratively with technical, business and legal advisors to support project delivery and operational and business planning. Develop commercial and operational understanding of the QRCUF, how a government-owned demonstration minerals processing facility will operate and the services it will provide. Measure and report on project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Manage and promote effective relationships and interfaces with internal stakeholders, other departments and external stakeholders, including suppliers and future QRCUF customers. Prepare and/or organise the preparation of complex reports, submissions, budget submissions, procurements, briefing notes, presentations, publications and correspondence. Support Resources' membership on the QRCUF Project Board. The following requirements are essential to this role: A university degree from a recognised tertiary institution or overseas qualification in a technical field (Environmental, Science, Engineering, etc) and/or Project Management would be highly regarded. Experience in construction/operations/project management, working in government, and/or experience in the Resources sector would be highly regarded. A current open class C driver license as stated in the Mandatory Requirements section. Travel away from the centre may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods. Why join us?
