The opportunity: We are seeking an established Project Manager (Electrical).
The successful candidate will be based in Sydney, working with one of the leaders in the Fire Protection industry.
As the Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the performance of all Electrical projects within your portfolio, adhering to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to meet revenue, profit targets, and KPIs.
Responsibilities will include:
Review tenders, submit bids, and ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority guidelines.
Interpret building plans, regulations, and codes of practice to direct progress of works, ensuring that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used.
Provide monthly reports on project costs, performance, and margins.
Resolve contract value discrepancies and ensure compliance with PMO processes and accurate setup of new projects in project management systems.
Conduct site visits to review project progression, resolve issues, and update construction programs and forecasts as required in line with physical and financial targets.
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies, leading safety initiatives and promoting adherence to the Safety Cardinal Rules within your field team.
Monitor industrial relations and safety activities, managing employees and subcontractors to maintain good working relationships with employees, trade unions, and industry associations.
Effectively manage team members under your supervision, including performance management, well-being support, and the security of material and equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum two years of Project Management experience (Project Management qualification preferred).
Strong leadership abilities with conflict resolution skills.
Effective multitasking skills to manage various projects.
Capability to thrive in high-stress situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Resident (PR) or working rights.
