Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will play a lead role in the management and balance of project requirements, budget, production and delivery of short to medium term projects whilst maintaining client relationships.
The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of project management tasks in the Engineering & Innovation (Maritime) team/business unit including:
Plan, manage and review outcomes of project scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement and integration Plan, coordinate and execute work packages within the Engineering and Innovation team Engage with internal and external stakeholders to define scope and establish key requirements for the related work package. Identify project risk areas and manage issue escalation. Manage, unblock, and accelerate cross-team projects spanning multiple functional teams and cross-functional initiatives. Contribute to the achievement of budgeted revenue and contribution targets Identify required project resources (includes human, material and facilities) As an ideal applicant for this senior role, you will need: A strong knowledge and skills in project management tools (Apollo/Microsoft Project and/or Atlassian Jira) and methodologies Experience managing full project and program lifecycles in a complex environment. Programme and Technical (Engineering, Science, Technology) background with real world delivery Experience in managing technical, engineering, sustainment and facilities projects throughout the entire project lifecycle would be highly desirable Demonstrated communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills A demonstrated ability to cultivate a broad network of relationships and influence with key internal and external stakeholders. Experience negotiating commercial and projects / services delivery with senior Defence customers/stakeholders. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
