Our expertise includes grid connection studies, substation design, policy and sector planning, carbon services, load forecasting models, and long-term generation planning using simulation and dynamic programming techniques.The RoleWe are seeking to engage a Project Manager to join our Power & Energy Team in ANZ.
In this role you'll be responsible for managing medium to large-scale Energy/Renewable projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements including financial management, client management and contract administration of delegated projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide project management and/or project governance of projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality;Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities;Contribute to providing leadership to employees on the project to ensure project team cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development;Effectively manage and lead a team of nominated direct reports to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.About YouSuitable applicants will be/have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent);Extensive project management and consulting skills, achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements within the Energy and Renewables Sector is essential;Well-developed communication and influencing skills to advise and guide complex project design development in a proactive manner and to represent SMEC as a valuable contributor to the project;Demonstrated knowledge of relevant design codes, Local Regulatory Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards;Ability to identify the appropriate resourcing for projects;Ability to identify requirements for skills development within the team;Demonstrated knowledge of the business/marketing context of business solutions.All applications must be submitted online.
