The Project Manager will work with a multidisciplinary team responsible for implementing defined finance related system and process solutions across the Health System. Through exceptional communication, the Project Manager will provide the strategic advice that is required to influence senior executives and drive process improvement strategies that support the capability uplift of staff and access to improved finance processes across the Department and Hospital and Health Services.

The successful candidate will develop project plans and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, that ensure a well-documented approach to benefits realisation, risk and issue management and quality project outcomes.
Role fitThe essential requirements for this role are:
Evidenced background in successfully managing and delivering complex projects and business change management activity.Expertise in applying established project management methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.Well-developed leadership and team management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes.Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, Queensland Health systems including S/4HANA.Ability to identify and drive process improvement by using evidence to demonstrate the need for change, as well as the being able to communicate how change may be enacted.Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex issues.We are all leaders in the Department of Health, regardless of role or classification level.
