THE ROLE The Project Manager/Account Manager will play a critical role in managing the commercial and contractual elements of the company's Defence contracts in Australia. Based in Perth, you'll act as the linchpin between the company, clients, and suppliers, ensuring smooth and compliant contract execution while protecting financial interests.
This role will involve national and occasional international travel, providing a hands-on opportunity to engage with Defence clients and internal teams across various time zones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Contract Management Lead the administration and compliance of Defence contracts, ensuring all deliverables meet scope, timeline, and quality standards. Oversee contract variations, amendments, and renewals, driving value optimisation and risk management. Financial Oversight Conduct financial oversight, providing analysis, reporting, and forecasting to ensure profitability and budget alignment. Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and suppliers, championing company values and standards. Risk & Compliance Management Identify commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the company's financial and operational interests. THE PERSON We're looking for someone with a strategic mindset, exceptional financial acumen, and the ability to foster relationships with Defence clients and stakeholders. This role is ideal for a highly experienced commercial manager or someone ready to progress from a senior role in contract management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). Minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial management, within Defence or Government contracts preferred. Proven expertise in contract management, financial oversight, and cost control. Demonstrated success in business development, stakeholder management, and revenue generation. Strong leadership and people management skills with a drive for continuous improvement.
