The OpportunityWe have a short engagement with likely extension, within a Defence SPO for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support and coordinate various elements to ensure project success of a capability program. You will:
Work alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of a project from post-Gate 2 stage through the One Defence Capability System, including maintenance and development of relationships and artefacts that support the project's governance and administration.Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders across a variety of Defence groups and other Government agencies.Lead the delivery of capability acquisition contracts with key Defence industry players.Coordinate Fundamental Inputs to Capability, to ensure all aspects of capability acquisition are addressed, providing a strong foundation to transition into service.Manage risk and issues, facilitate workshops and maintain associated registers.Undertake regular project reporting and management of dashboards.Manage arrangements with overseas parties, such as non-Australian Defence and government bodies including ITAR related material.Input into project financial planning, including development of key documents supporting the Commonwealth procurement process.Other tasks as required.About YouPossess a formal project management qualification and be able to demonstrate relevant Defence industry project management experience of capability projects for Defence.Demonstrated abilities to manage risks/issues, create and manage complex project schedules, and write SoWs.Possess a current or recently inactive NV2 AGSVA clearance.Mentor a junior Assistant Project Manager.Familiarity with Defence tools, such as Objective and Predict!Understanding of the One Defence Capability System.Experience with the ASDEFCON Suite of Tendering and Contracting Templates.We welcome and encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and Veterans for these opportunities.
