Project Manager - Clinical Research Partnerships The Telethon Kids Institute and the Child and AdolescentHealth Service (CAHS) are working together to develop and implement apartnership agreement which aims to develop alignment in our approach toenabling high quality child health research and translation into clinicalpractice to improve patient outcomes by simplifying processes, reducingduplication, and increasing support and efficiencies.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to continueto develop a service model and partnership agreement that strengthens,streamlines, and supports collaborative research by fostering a collaborativeapproach to research service provision. The role will also include scoping andplanning for the potential establishment and operation of a clinical trialsunit, which will further improve the translation of research into practice.This partnership model will be informed by a highly effective Melbourne model,which was developed between The Royal Children's Hospital and the MurdochChildren's Research Institute.
Typical duties in this role will include, but not be limitedto:
Develop a governance framework and joint policy for the model, to guide collaborative research services teams in understanding their roles and responsibilities, to ensure efficient service provision and compliance with relevant organisational and National regulations. In alignment with the proposed partnership agreement, develop and present business and financial modelling to understand ongoing resource and shared funding requirements. Develop a target state design for the potential establishment of a clinical trials unit reflecting the market opportunity, operating model, funding model, and resourcing plan. Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issue management to engage stakeholders, in order to develop the partnership model and agreement. Conveniently based at Perth Children's Hospital, this rolecan be offered on a full-time or part-time basis to suit the availability ofthe preferred applicant for a period of 12 months.
About You The ideal applicant forthis role will have a Tertiary qualification within research management,project management in a health services field or relevant experience, alongwith the following skills and attributes:
Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to prioritise competing projects and demands. Experience in business modelling and analytics, and research contracts. Experience in the management of clinical trials. Highly developed communication skills with demonstrated expert writing skills and experience in researching, analysing, and drafting a range of materials for a variety of audiences. A strong track record of being able to engage and influence at multiple levels of an organisational with a focus on delivery and stakeholder management. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, diplomacy, and tact.
