Are you a Project Manager looking to be a part of VIC health infrastructure projects? Join DH! 4x VPS6 Full time Permanent positions available!Melbourne CBD/Hybrid + Flexible working options + EAP + Purchased Leave options, etc!About the role: With the significant number of health infrastructure projects in development or delivery a strong client-side interface to represent client requirements and interests is required. The department is establishing this function to ensure that as projects evolve, the projects remain focused on delivering benefits to the health system as originally intended in line with clinical and broader health system priorities identified. 
The Investment Strategy and Client Office sits within the Department of Health and provides a key interface between the delivery agency and the Department of Health (the department) to manage concise and timely advice and clarification of project requirements, guidance on governance processes, reviews and approvals for any changes to ensure that projects integrate into the health system and the intended benefits are realised. 
As the Project Manager, Client Office you will be responsible for activities to support project development, design, delivery and integration in collaboration with stakeholders.
The Project Manager will represent the department or client views in various forums and discussions. An understanding of health infrastructure or health service delivery would be highly beneficial to the role. Strong and engaging interpersonal and stakeholder management skills will be a key to success in the role, as will experience in establishing and managing change control processes for major projects.

How you'll make a difference: Provide leadership in project planning and delivery associated with health infrastructure projectsProvide professional expertise and oversight to ensure the development and integration of a complex health infrastructure program to time, cost and quality requirements, ensuring alignment with health system priorities and requirementsBuild strong relationships and competently negotiate with stakeholders, including project team members, Local, State and Commonwealth Government Agencies and community stakeholdersProvide active professional advice to support the procurement and management of contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issuesProactively identify and promptly respond to issues and project risks through exercising excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risksProvide advice to internal and external stakeholders and undertake a range activities such as the preparation and/or coordination of reporting products, briefings, correspondence that inform decision making at project, organisational and portfolio levelsSuitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: High-performing ability along with leadership, analytical, problem solving, policy development and communication skills Experience and proven expertise in project management of infrastructure projects, with multiple stakeholders and significant risk management experience Demonstrated achievement in the planning, development or delivery of infrastructure projects Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in effectively managing negotiations with multiple stakeholdersExceptional communication skills - verbal and writtenComputer literacy skills including project schedulingProven achievement in directing and influencing multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to achieve goals and project objectivesContemporary experience in health infrastructure planning, engineering, architecture, health system planning, clinical planning, project management and business case developmentTo learn more please click 'Apply' to view the Position Description on the Careers.vic website.
